    You'd need to cut it back till you go to healthy plant. Then you could pot it up. Keep it warm and hope for rooting

      Make sure you let it dry for a few days after you cut it off to healthy tissue before you plant it.

      That's a good point, they do much better if they've calluses over.

      Taking a cacti that already has roots. Cutting your cacti and the rooted one. Pressing the two open wounds together. It would instantly add roots to your cactus that has no roots.
