This plant is unrecognizable after a severe bug issue made me chop it to the nubs. That rich red color? Well, I dunno when that will be back haha.

    Maybe in the winter 😃 when did you take the photo of when it was reddish? I ask because the leaves are facing upwards which I’m guessing is its rest period?

      She came like this from Walmart, so I assume she had the right sun since birth (from the nursery, not Walmart). She’s kind of an experiment at this point, as she is kicking out leaves.

      Right.. I was suggesting when you purchased it that she may not have fully broken dormancy.. Many succs take on a full on blush or red color in the winter aside from typical sun/heat stress.

    The red coloring is a kind of stress burn they get from the sun (not harmful)! The more sun she gets the more it will change color!
