Hey yall! So I rescued this aloe plant from my cousins. It was really droopy and it got ripped from its roots, however she’s still kicking and even has a new little guy growing from the center. However the middle guys are not as stable as some of the outer ones, I took some plant Velcro and will loosen it little by little every time I water it. But I just noticed before I went to bed they were having a bit of trouble even standing up all together. So my question is, after all that I know haha, if I take a fork, it’s all I have right now don’t judge me I’m new at this😂, and stick it like this to support them even more will that effect the plant? Also any advice you have to help this guy would be much appreciated because I’m still super new at plants and barely know what I’m doing🤣🤣

In my experience Aloes tend to grow up ⬆️ first and then gradually the leaves drop and spread out. My Alan here is getting wider as the older lower leaves give space to the new upright ones, if that makes any sense. Aloe’s shouldn’t need propping up with any support. Just my opinion and experience for my couple of aloe plants. Hope this helps 🙏🏼

I totally agree! I don’t support my other ones at all. However these leaves in the middle are so weak you can hear them pulling at the base of the plant if you lay them down. My fear is they will snap off or continue pulling and cause weakness between the steam and the root, that’s why I’m giving them a little support right now

The pot it was in before came up above the leaves and didn’t allow much sunlight. So it was never allowed to fully grow out like that either

Ahhh well a little help while she gets established won’t do any harm but she looks like she’s doing okay for now.
