I've been struggling with this echeveria. Most probably over watered, all the leaves fell. Any suggestions on how to proceed? Should I cut it into half and propagate ? or just replant after letting it dry for a couple of days?

eatyacarbsair prop those leaves for the safest route. gently twist them off and just lay them on top of some soil - you don’t even need to water really. wait for roots and plant 😊

Have had a pretty bad track record when propagating via leaves :/

Could I possibly just let it air dry for a few days and replant the whole thing?

short answer is yes, you can try if you’re compelled to do it that way — air propping is the best method for these especially if your stem is compromised but good luck!!

you could also just cut the root ball off lay the whole thing on some soil and something like this should happen:

Succulent❤️MamaEverything eatyacarbs is saying is correct.😊 If you really want to try as is once more, check if the stem is mushy. If not, you can plant it in a pot the size of the roots, so maybe 2”, with cactus soil. Only water once the lower remaining leaf feels less firm. Overwatering is how often and too much dirt, not watering too much at once. So water until the water drips out the drainage holes, then maybe do it a couple more times in a few minutes, then don’t water again until the plant shows it needs it. Is this the one you labeled problem child?😄 If so, it looks like the pot was too big so the dirt was staying wet too long. The roots have to reach the bottom and sides so succulents can suck up all the water. They want to sit in dry dirt between waterings.

LOL yes this is the problem child. And Yeah you're absolutely right. I got it a couple of months ago I think, not having realized that pot size matters.

Update: Problem Child has been planted in a tiny 2 inch terracota :)
