Ignore it and blast it with as much light as you can. Overwatering is pretty much the only way you'll kill it. Mine grows vines over near other pots and sends off aerial roots to propagate itself into anything it can. Easily propagates from leaves, stem cuttings (doesn't matter if the stem has leaves or not). I don't recommend peat moss based soil mixes for any plants other than crops. Peat moss holds too much water for most plants and needs to be mixed with chunky media to counter that, and when it dries it becomes nearly impossible to wet again as it becomes hydrophobic.

Chunkier succulent mix and only water when the lower leaves are starting to get wrinkly/shrivel. Fun fact, they're edible.

To make a **Ghost Succulent** (Graptopetalum paraguayense) thrive, here are the key care tips: ### 1. **Light**: - Ghost succulents love **bright, direct sunlight**. If indoors, place them in the sunniest window possible. They can also tolerate some partial shade, but the more sunlight, the better for their growth and color. ### 2. **Watering**: - Like most succulents, they prefer the **"soak and dry"** method. Water thoroughly when the soil is completely dry. Avoid letting the plant sit in water, as this can lead to root rot. In winter, reduce the watering frequency since the plant will grow more slowly. ### 3. **Soil**: - Use a **well-draining soil mix** designed for succulents or cactus. You can mix regular potting soil with sand or perlite to ensure proper drainage. ### 4. **Temperature**: - Ghost succulents prefer warm temperatures and can tolerate temperatures as low as 20°F (-6°C), but they thrive best in **70-80°F (21-27°C)**. They are not frost-tolerant, so bring them indoors in colder climates. ### 5. **Humidity**: - Ghost succulents don’t need high humidity and thrive in **dry environments**. Avoid misting the plant, as it doesn’t need excess moisture. ### 6. **Fertilizing**: - Feed them with a **diluted succulent or cactus fertilizer** once a month during the growing season (spring and summer). They don’t need much fertilizer, so be sparing. ### 7. **Propagation**: - Ghost succulents are easy to propagate! You can remove healthy leaves, let them dry out for a few days, and place them on well-draining soil to root. You can also propagate from offsets or cuttings. ### 8. **Pruning**: - If the succulent becomes leggy (stretched out), it might not be getting enough light. You can trim off the leggy growth and propagate it, while moving the main plant to a brighter location. By following these guidelines, your ghost succulent will be healthy, beautifully colored, and thriving!
