I just purchased this plant, and I’ve noticed some circular spots on some of its leaves. Planta DXs it as either scale or insufficient light; I don’t think that’s correct. Since my experience with succulents is very limited, what do you think? TIA!

I don’t have extensive succulent knowledge either. However, whenever I’m on the fence about if something is a bug I wipe at it firmly with a cotton ball or cotton swab soaked in alcohol. If it doesn’t come off and look like a dead bug I usually assume it’s a scar from manual damage.

Also, look at the two leaves on the upper left, on the backside of those leaves; something looks weird, like indentations on the backs of those leaves. I don’t know if this is anything, but I thought I would just add another piece to this puzzle. TIA!

This does kind of look like sucking damage

As unusual, TXS for your post! Just to be safe, since this plant’s new, should I put her through my usual series of neem sprays as a preventative? TIA!
