Asking for a friend because succulents aren’t my area of expertise. My friend has the mother plant and is very fond of it. She took a cutting for her daughter, let it callous over and then planted it. Does it look OK? Do you have any advice? The cutting lives with her daughter and they want to help it thrive. TIA!

Do you know if it had any little roots growing out of the callous? That’s when I put mine in dirt and it the same way as you’ve shown in the picture. It should do well!

I have a few leafs I’m trying to propagate and in my experience they take a long time to grow, so I would give it time

Leaf props do take a very long time. You should start seeing little roots and beginning of a young plant. You really don’t need to do anything for it. After new growth and the leaf starts to wrinkle, then you can lightly mist, every few days. But the time will be months.

In my experience my succulent leaf props do best just chillin on a windowsill until they grow roots. Then you can move them to soil but I don’t water until the mother leaf falls off. Once that happens I use a spray bottle to water a teeny bit once in a while
