Help 🥲 string of bananas I’ve for like 2 months, did not repot and the pot does have drainage. I’m suspecting that I may have just over watered, if so, I’m not sure the best way to go about getting it back to full health! Any suggestions?!

These are really easy to chop and prop. I would start with that to make sure you’ve started a back up plan. If the rest has root rot then I’d be getting rid if it. If it still has healthy roots then its a waiting game.

Thank you for the suggestion! I’ll pull it out to see if there’s root rot!

I just did this to my string of dolphins and pearls. They were so full and now they look awful. I repotted it and propped a few.

How sad! I hate when one tiny thing can be detrimental! For propagation you do it in water or straight in dirt? I’m a tropical plant house so I’ve only ever one it the water way!

I prop my dolphins in water. Take a few healthy cuttings, remove the lower leave, let callus for a few hours, then put it into water. I haven’t had any issue with this method, but that doesn’t mean others aren’t good as well.

Thank you! I have a propagation wall with the test tubes. I’ve never had good luck with other types of succulents!

I cannot keep any succulents or string of anything alive. I once purchased a $200 fully grown string of pearls and it died within months. I hope this plant bb recovers beautifully!

      SAME! Succulents are my nemesis.

Can you stick it in a sunny spot and let it dry up?

Currently trying that! On day 2 of a dry sunny spot. I may clean it up a bit. Hoping that helps. Outside of seeing if there’s root rot

If it was my plant I would pick through the dead pieces and curl the rest to sit on top of the soil. The new growth will root down if you bunch it up on top.

These are super hard for me! They are succulents, which I found out a bit too late, and definitely over watered! I would def prop like others are saying! I waited a little too long to try myself and moved her to the graveyard. Definitely want to try again as we are all learning and that’s what makes plants fun! Learning how they work and how to best care for them.
