I’ve also been thinking of chopping this one back just bc I liked how it looked more as a shorty. I’ve never chopped a cacti tho so I’m curious as to whether I just chop & transplant directly into the medium? Any advice is appreciated.

I am in the same predicament ☺️
0 J'aimeHopefully someone can give us some insight 🤞🏼
1 j'aimeI wish you guys the best of luck 🫣🫡
1 j'aimeAfter you cut, allow the wound to callous over. After the wound is callous you can place in your soil and wait for roots.

Best of luck. I look forward to the pictures in the future. I’m “rooting” for you…sorry😉
1 j'aimeSorry, you were the only one with any feedback & I’m wondering will the stump continue to grow after the cut or will it stay as is?
0 J'aimeThe stump will produce new growth aka pup. This will happen from an areola. The pup, new tip will continue to grow upwards. Hope this make sense.
1 j'aimeTHANK YOU SO MUCH!!
0 J'aimeBoobie! Wherever did you aquire such a fine specimen?
0 J'aimeI got this one earlier in the year when BWH had them available 🤓
