My tilantia flowered a few days ago. I got a bit curious about the process and just read that they flower once, a hermaphrodite flower, then they go into a cloning process and give birth to a genetically identical offspring that starts a new circle, grow, flower, clone and so on…very Foundation Trilogy-like 🤭

1 mi piace Thank you. I picked those rocks on my river walks. The tilantia is resting in between the rocks, It’s easier to lift the plant when it’s time to water then dry, and place it back.

Yes. That's been my experience. Once they flower and a little bit later you'll start to see a "pup". Within a timeframe of 2 1/2 years, this is #6. When it gets a little bigger gently twist/pull it off.
