Hi everyone. I got a new succulent which at first just had a couple of sun/edema spots but in the 2 weeks I’ve had it, its leaves have developed spots/marks all over. Two leaves shriveled up today but all the rest are super plump. I haven’t watered it since I got it and I repotted it immediately into a chunky succulent soil mix to live with this aloe. The roots looked great. He’s under a grow light 12hr/day plus in a W window (I’m far north so don’t get too much light. All the other succulents are loving it). Let me know what you think - thank you! Last pic is what he looked like when I got him.

Im gonna guess and say it could be some sort of Fungal infection, it’s hard to tell but since you haven’t really watered it that’s my guess! Also your pot is ADORABLE I love it!!!

I have watched my same plant change colors and patterns over the last year.

First pic is today, this one is last August. It had a dark green outline at one point. The dots haven't seemed to slow it down - but I assumed mine were a product of overwatering/sun burn.

Ah okay yours has similar spotting then. I was just surprised with how fast it showed up on mine since I only got it 2 weeks ago.

One thing too, which I always forget, is that it takes a while for a plant to get used to new surroundings. It might flail a little while doing so. For example, my tenuous hypothesis that I didn’t evenly water, and the recent imbalance (repotting, re-homing) made some leaves take up more water. I wish I had more hard science, but all these freaking plants have unique caveats lol.

Hmm 🤔 I’ve had an arrangement with that same sedum I think (the orange one). Mine was paired with a jade plant, I think yours is some sort of aloe. Now my sedum doesn’t look orange at all and doesn’t look too happy. I’ve had these plants on a south facing window sill, but I think the sedum just really needs full sun outdoors, or maybe a grow light. My windows have modern glass that I think block out some of the UV rays. So spots might be edema? Idk

Hoping the spots are edema too. It’s under a grow light but I might have to move it closer to maintain the color. Thanks for your input!

Oh and also my jade plant turned red. So it’s like they swapped color.

Sedum keeps its color only under grow lights indoor.

Hm it’s under a grow light! Maybe I’ll just put it closer. It’s the spottiness I’m more concerned about - do you think that’s a light thing too or a water/sickness problem?

I don’t think it’s a light or water problem. It could be something else, fungus or pest, but I don’t have much experience with these issues.
