I am currently trying to propogate my echeveria and wondering how to water the leaves without getting the coating of them wet.

The coating doesn’t easily wash off. But, it can rub off. Lightly mist once a week or not at all. The new sprout will take moisture and nutrients from the mother leaf. 🪴🍀

I used to use a syringe for mine when they were little, but now I just water normally and the mother leaves are still going strong after 2+ months! Just make sure to let the soil dry completely before watering again.

I agree with Sunny. I've done this several times and they get a ton of moisture from the mother leaf. I water mine once to twice a month as long as mama stays plump. Good luck
