Thank you. Wish I could keep them all in this spot but itâs a temporary micro climate for a few before spring. Then I rotate with some other cacti to make sure everyone is in good shape.

Look at you. One of each kind almost. Know something we donât? Another Noah event coming so youâre collecting one of each kind? Versus all that animal clean up and feeding nonsense. Question for you. âŠnewly repotted⊠? Same pots with new dirt? New pots with new dirt? Minimal cursing or excessive cursing doing those with needles? Region of the US or world you are living? Do you repot yearly or bi-yearly? Philadelphia here and the app is suggesting I repot my Cows Tongue cactus. Iâve had him for 3 going on 4 summers. Or as I call them by name: - C.T. - C.T. Jr. and - G.C.T. or C.T. III (for C.T. the Third) Today they, along with their pals the Prickly Pears, got a little âMiracle Grow liquid wit waterâ straight up for brunch. I havenât even had a Bloody Mary yet. (The C.T.âs are second from the left.)

That was funny. What can I say, I want them all :D This is a temporary spot for some. Euphorbias will move to my south/south west windows. Two new guys, Senita cactus and Tephrocactus articulatus that I want to keep an eye on. Sago Palm belongs to my teen son and the others are simply just pretty to look at. Repotting⊠more often than not, new pot new dirt. Sometimes it depends on what I have on hand and I will mix a bit of old dirt in if itâs healthy (nothing gray or silty). I repot if there are signs of pests, pot bound, hydrophobic nursery soil or when I can say, you look rough girl, itâs time. I may be missing some things. Same pot new soil if I find that I donât like the mix itâs in. Minimal cursing when I knock over a pot of old dirt. Otherwise I âtryâ to keep the process pretty zen. I use chopsticks method of lifting the cactus from the base. Iâm probably more worried about damaging the spines than my hands. I scrape fine needles off my fingers with a steak knife. Iâm in VB,VA zone 7b/8a So what do you think? Do you feel like your CT needs a repot?
