Hey Planties! I have this cactus (not sure the specific species twas a gift) that’s been slowing leaning over the past few months. It seems to be healthy, no rot in sight, but I’ve been pondering how I should repot it. I don’t know if it likes to be leaning, or if I should go straight up with it. Lmk if yall have any advice, regardless im excited to repot!🙏🏼

Head towards the light, Carolann! There’s not night brightness. It’s leaning to the bright area, it appears

It mighhht be a tad bit over-watered :0 if its squishy then it might just need a lil help standing up straight (the way you have it will suffice), sunlight, and perchance bigger pot fs :) maybe berried a lil deeper so it can build a stronger root system:) It may tend to lean, but not that drastically :0

pretty sure this type of cacti likes to crawl as it ages. theplantrescuer on instagram has a few videos of crawling mammillaria cacti and some advice on repotting them

This is what I had suspected as well! I’ve seen theplantrescuer which is why I had this hunch. Since the post I have repotted her so she hanging out on her side. Roots looked very healthy and now just waiting to water👍🏼
