Hello! I’ve been propagating this kind of unknown succulent for a few weeks now, and over the past couple of days a bunch of new growths have popped up on the edges of the leaves. A few are putting down roots already! Just thought I’d share because they’re super cute and I haven’t had a succulent prop do this before 🤍🪴

How fun! It looks like some variety of kalanchoe. I know the mother of millions produces babies around the edge of the leaves. They can be quite prolific and they are invasive where they are native.

That’s what I was thinking too—although I’ve never seen a mother of thousands with that leaf shape. Who knows? This is the momma plant that I propped them off of—she hasn’t done this sort of thing before though!

Congrats! I have yet to be successful with propagating succulents. What was the secret??

This was my second try propping them! I just made to let them callous over for 2 ish days after taking the leaves, then I set them in damp soil in a window that got lots of strong morning sunlight. It took about 2 1/2 weeks so don’t give up if you don’t see quick growth! I also want to get a grow light because someone said that’d help. Maybe try that too!

Seeing the parent plant it really doesn't look as much like a kalanchoe.
