If the holes are accompanied by softness or yellowing it could be a fungal disease.
0 gillningarAre they new? Like youve had this plant for a bit and just noticed them? Or this is a new plants and you noticed it had these? If its the first, I'd treat for pests. If it's the second it could be damage from transport. Youll see some of these on long spine cacti kept next to eachother, and the poke eachother.
0 gillningarIt’s not new, I’ve had it since June or July—do you have any suggestions for how to treat for pests?
0 gillningarJust something like Jacks Dead bug, or arber pesticide if its available to you
0 gillningarAfter a little googling this is my new opinion. Because there are only a few holes I think maybe they are random environmental damage. However, these holes can let in pests and/or bacterial and fungal problems. With this in mind I guess I would do preventative treatments for both. Apparently, a hole at the top can be a good sign because it's where it grows from.
