Anyone know how much light my blue columnar cactus should be getting? I have it pretty much right beneath my window but my curtain is blocking most of the light from reaching the shelf the cactus is on.

You might wanna get a stool or stool type pot holder to give it more sun. Cacti need lots of bright light, and from the looks of it, it probably needs to be closer to eye level to the window to get enough light.

The pot is too big to put on the window sill, I have another shelf that’s in more direct light of the window, just farther. Will that work?

That should work. As long as it’s within a foot of the window and the window gets 6-7+ hours of sun a day, it should be just fine for a cactus 🌵

It’s looking healthy, I spent yesterday putting some in a row for my drive way. It took me awhile just to put 4 in because I’d get pricked lol

Yeah, when I repotted this guy I had to use fire gloves, everything else got me pricked.

Give it direct light but since you haven’t before give it a transition period but try full light
