NEW PLANT Hey all, I just got a new Donkey Tail and I love him so much but I’ve never cared for one before, I’m used to Pothos and Spider plants. Does anyone have any tips for keeping this little happy and healthy?

He's so cute! Succulent basics... Dry in between waterings. I usually check the leaves if they are showing signs of thirst, like wrinkly or soft when squeezed (gently). Even when the soil is dry, sometimes they still don't need watering until leaves show some signs. Full to partial sun, depending on how intense the sun condition in your area, they love light, to keep it compact and faster growth. Other than that? Enjoy him 🤗

0 LikesIm trying that with mine. Its not doing well 😩
0 LikesIt can take a while, one of mine took 2 months. Have you tried sticking the cut end in the soil?
0 LikesOh absolutely, I love seeing how others do that and wanna try it for sure!
0 LikesGood luck with it! It’s beautiful! Im not doing well with mine. Idk what I’m doing wrong. Im not over watering it gets a decent amount of sun. Its drooping and drooping tons of leaves. Don’t think it will make it.
0 LikesThank you! I’m sorry yours is so bent on not growing! Some plants are just way too stubborn 😅😭
1 LikeMy succulents all seem to do better with rainwater or distilled water. You can also take regular tapwater and let it sit out 24 hours before using. I love my donkey tails.🥰🥰
2 LikesThat’s good to know, I’ll definitely be doing that, thank you!
