A few months ago I pruned my jade plant in hopes of it growing bushier. After researching it said that 2 stems should grow from the point where I cut it, but I’ve noticed only 1 stem growing from each point. Did I mutilate my plant for no reason? What might’ve I done wrong? And does anyone have suggestions on promoting a bushier plant?

I would suggest pruning at an angle 📐.

you haven’t done anything wrong! it might be not enough light, it might just take time. it’s REALLY hard to kill a jade. it will endure pretty much anything apart from overwatering. in their native climates these grow as shrubs and are pruned as such — bluntly like any old hedgerow.

I have heard of this happening when you prune during the winter months

Patience. It'll happen. More light would help. Looks well watered

I did mine closer to the node, it fully brown calloused over after a week, the callous fell off and they are slooooowly growing new leaves. Good care and patience ✌️ yours look really healthy!

I let the cuttings sit to callous and then put them in water, two seem like they might just be rotting but one (upper center) has a big strong water root growing! 💚🥰
