I watered my cactus about a week ago and I saw it today and it’s completely sunken in. It’s not mushy and it’s still decently green under the spines from what I can tell. Im giving it a long soak because I believe this is caused by dehydration but I watered it just last week. Could it be hydrophobic soil or root rot? It’s always been a weird plant with a lot of problems but i’ve managed to keep it alive for a few years and hope I can get it back!
are you watering it as planta tells you? it is telling you to water again in like 6 days which may be too often.

0 Mi piace i would try to keep watering updated honestly so you remember. even 2 weeks is a lot sometimes for cacti. i know mine hate it and will crumble and drop leaves even when i sometimes water and the soil is dry enough to be watered. make sure you’re checking soil prior to watering always as well. follow the plants specific guidelines when it comes to soil, direct sunlight, but watering can be tricky.

Does this pot have drain holes? Cactus are picky about extra water in their pots. 🌵
