hi y’all! 👋🏼 can anyone help me identify this lil buddy? i have it in planta as a roadkill cactus (consolea rubescens) because it’s so 2-dimensional. however, it’s also pretty spiky & almost every photo i’ve seen of a roadkill cactus doesn’t have these spikes on the paddles. could it be some other type of opuntia? tia!
I’m not sure, but this plant looks like a happy rabbit. Ears and arms raised.

I wonder if it's a prickly pear cactus. I want to get one or two because they're native to Minnesota so I can plant it outside. 🙂
1 mi piace there are lots of species that are called prickly pears! they all fall under the genus of Opuntia. this guy is definitely an opuntia, i’m hoping to figure out which one.
