Got a cactus cutting from a friend. It obviously isn’t doing well— the part in the soil is dying. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have never had a cactus cutting before. Thanks in advance!

    Likely too wet. Re cut until healthy. Let callus overnight. Put again in soil but keep on the dry side. I have lots of cactus and succulents. I water maybe once a month maybe less.

      I just had to do that with a lifesaver plant with root rot. Think it’ll work?

    i agree with chopping it and starting over. cacti are hardy little beasts it’ll be okay!
