Hi all! My vsoh has been doing wonderfully and has already been flowering for a couple months I believe. It just keeps growing and growing!! However, the hearts have gotten significantly smaller as it grows. I’m wondering if this is normal, especially bc it’s flowering, or if I should change anything. It’s been in a west window its whole life and only gets watered when the hearts can gently fold like a taco. I gave it fertilizer I think two weeks ago. Extra Q: I’m introducing a kitten into my room very soon and I know this particular plant will be very tempting but it’s so long that anywhere I put it, it’ll be dangling too low or too far from the window. Any suggestions?

The only cat that has eaten my plants was an orange tabby and he would roll around in the soil all over the floor 😂 So I would leave it as is and see if it’s a problem before moving the plant. It’s hard to keep a plant alive when you move them to a new spot. I have the string of turtles and they get smaller turtles on the ends too. They have funky flowers that look like rat tails but I think they do slow down the growth a bit and I keep finding mushrooms 🍄‍🟫! 😁 Beautiful hearts though you have the talent for them!

Are those green stems that are pointing up the flowers? I always thought it was the vine growing. Mine has a bunch of those rn (even one vine branched out into like 5 of them!)

more light! i have one too that i moved from south to west thinking it would be fine — my west facing is a huge bay. but nope! it put out itty bitty leaves so i pruned it (can’t recommend pruning SOH enough) and put it back in the south window and the leaves went back to big

For managing the length, maybe you could affix hooks to the ledge, or even suction-cup-hooks to the window, and then drape the vines on the hooks so they get the same light and are kept up out of the way?
