Should I switch pots for any of my plants? Aloe def needs an upgrade so maybe I switch him into one of the other plants pots and then that that plant into a bigger one?

    Also, any soil recs would be good too! The one I’m using right now is a succulent soil I believe but I can’t really remember the brand so if youve noticed certain soils work better lmk!

    I don’t see anything wrong with the current planters. The bear paw probably could be smaller but it’s doing so well I would leave it. As far as soil, most pre made succulent soils need to be amended. It really depends on the brand. I start with Jacks Gritty Mix and then add regular potting soil to that. The percentage depends on the plant. All of your plants should be about 50% grit, with the aloe going up to maybe 75% grit. An FYI, in your second pic, the gollum jade is looking dehydrated. And maybe your ripple jade. But that bear paw is a great looking plant. Mine tends to drop leaves and then replace them with new growth. Have yet to understand why that is its modus operandi. And your pots are cool. Did you paint them?

      Good to know about the soil thanks! I also left my apt during Christmas break so I wasn’t able to water my gollum jade for a few extra days. Made sure to give it lots today so I’m hoping to see a quick turnaround but I’ll keep monitoring him! And thanks I did paint my pots! I just bought a new terracotta one so if you have any ideas fs let me know

    I agree with phil there’s really nothing wrong. This is just what I do and it works for me. All of my succulents/cacti are in plastic pots (except the one I showed on your other thread). I like the plastic pots because I have so many drainage holes and if they grow too much, I’m not really attached to the pot anyways so I don’t care if I have to break it open. For decoration I put them in some other pot, usually ceramic, with no drainage hole or a hole with a plug. For soil, I LOVE Molly’s or Sol Soils. Sol Soils usually for chunkier stuff and succulents, Mollys usually for aroids, more water-retentive soil. They are also very accessible to me and I don’t have to order online, I can just go get it.
