Can anyone help me with what type of succulent this is? And it’s a new start. Any tips? The soil I have used is for succulents.

Looks like a Sedum, maybe an Adolphii. When it comes to watering think about where these plants come from, arid environments. So when you water you want to only water when the soil is 100% dry. Some will go even further and wait until the leaves get soft, if they are well watered they are hard to the touch. And the watering should be thorough, so I hope that pot has a drainage hole. Now the pot, ideally you would want them in something like terracotta, it's "breathable". Looks like what you have is sealed so it would hold onto water for a longer time, which these plants don't like. Again, think about where these plants live and how they get water, they go for long periods without it but when it does come they get "flooded". Then the sun comes out and dries it all up again.

I'm not too sure about the soil, did it specify for pots or for in ground? Typically you see a lot of inorganic matter, like perlite or pumice, mixed in for better drainage. Like I said, they don't like sitting in water.

Thank you so much. New to this. Every bit advice is welcomed. Looks like I’m going shopping for a new pot. Do you know how big they grow? And what type of fertilizer can I give it? If any?

They can get pretty big but it takes a long while to get there. They grow up and then start to fall and "spill" out of the pot. You could even put it in the sun to "sun stress" them, meaning training it to live in the sunlight and they will turn this reddish orange color. Be careful if you do that though, you have to train it to live in the sun a little at a time or you'll burn it. You can also propagate from its leaves and make more plants to fill in a pot. BUT, they take so LONG to propagate!

And fertilizer, I would wait about a month after potting before I water. But sometimes the soil will have fertilizer in it and that usually last around six months, after that you would have to fertilize it yourself. Not during the cold months of course. Check out Cookie's Cacti, Cactus and Caffeine, and Desert Plants of Avalon, they make great cactus and succulent care videos.

The orange colored are sedums. I believe they are sedum adolphis but not sure because many are similar. Maybe same as yours. They are sun stressed. Gives you an idea how they can change when given lots of light.
