Every year I bring in this succulent arrangement. Every year my string of pearls shrivels up at some point basically over night. I’m in Ohio. Brought it in about a month ago. It’s been fine until this morning. The ends and top are still fine. Just the middle of these. I am using a grow light this year thinking that was my issue in the past. I went ahead and gathered them on the soil and pinned them down hoping to save them. But I need help!

Your best bet is probably repotting the pearls into a separate planter. The biggest problem is their root system. It is extremely shallow and requires an appropriate planter, otherwise the soil in bottom of planter stays wet. Outside there was a lot more air circulation helping to dry it out but inside that’s not happening. I would also suggest a very fast draining soil. I use Jacks Gritty Mix with some regular potting soil mixed in.

Coming from someone who keeps making this mistake: Pot her separately! Not all succulents have the same watering needs. I have killed an echi and a desert rose by planting them with more water tolerant succulents
