My prickly pear is thriving and is starting to get top heavy. Should I repot her? Or use stakes? Or just live and let live? Thank you!

I really would have thought they could hold themselves up, but I have no experience with this variety.đ In any other succulent, Iâd assume itâs climbing to the light, but itâs in front of a window so. đ€·ââïž Unless the vertical growth is from the nursery and the horizontal growth has grown at your house, then maybe itâs leaning for light. Is there a grow light or something that direction?Hopefully someone with a prickly pear will chime in.đ
1 gillaIn the wild they actually start to lay down and will grow roots. You can propagate by cutting off a top piece and placing the cut end in the soil. I live in zone 6a and I have grown a huge patch in just over 3 years outside. They flower and fruit. If you want it to climb, maybe try a moss pole to encourage root growth as it goes up. Iâve never done it but now that I see yours inside, I might try it. Here is a pic of mine outside
