Hi guys n gals. Planta saying Texas Nipple, but Iām not so sure. Here it is next to what I thought was a TN or a Thimble cactus which has taller base, not built like a beach ball or barrel. I also thought the thimble has white/cream flowers and TN red is that correct? Any ideas please? Thank you.

echinopsis are called easter lily cactuses most commonly, yours looks like the hybrid "schick". apparently a rare cultivar, couldn't find a good info source but from what i see their blooms can be red or pale pinks

The planta app is really bad at identifying cacti. I have submitted multiple to be added to their database.
1 gilla Yes, but I donāt blame it lol. There are so many different types and hybrids etc, it generally gets it right or close most of the time. Itās good that it gives you some options.
