Just got this little guy as a birthday gift 💝 can anyone help me identify and care tips ? Also is he supposed to be standing straight ? This is my first succulent 😅

    It looks like a species of Sedeveria, probably Jet Bead Sedeveria. I suggest putting it in some more light, it's looking pretty lanky, succulents grow really tall when they need more light. Definitely put it into Planta and follow its advice. Also, it probably shouldn't be bending like that, so put something like a short pencil or pen to hold it up.       Thanks so much ! I will be adding it soon. It’s pretty stiff 😅 I don’t want to break it trying to bend it back 😭 should I just put something under it to guide it to grow upright ?

      Yeah, and even if you can put something against it to sorta guide it to how you would like it to grow that will work just fine <3 Hope it grows well!

    It’s definitely a very stretched sedum or sedeveria. It should be in whatever spot gets the brightest light, otherwise it will continue to stretch. Also, that pot looks much too big for the roots, so I would probably downsize.

      Thank you ! I thought about downsizing also not sure how long it’s been in this pot
