I’ve been incredibly busy and haven’t been able to feed this guy for the past couple of months and I am looking for a new pot, but I am wondering besides the new pot what else I can do

    No fertilizer for several months is not a problem. If you are going to repot, I would suggest a very high grit soil. What I can see looks to be highly organic. Large name brand succulent soil, such as Miracle Grow, also need to be amended with more grit. I would also suggest bringing up the soil closer to the rim. This provides a bit more potential for evaporation. This succulent tends to get leggy even with a lot of light. So you have the option of propagating the upper stems if you’re not happy with its growing habit. After all that is said, personally I would take it out of the pot to check the roots. If good, remove some of this soil and replace with better soil, adding a little extra to fill the pot.
