My Leafy Life

The death of a Moon Cactus. I was disheartened to find Sunshine has died. ☹️ I've had him about a year longer than the average life span. I was doing my weekly check on my plants since I have several that have pups. I also turn them 1/4 to a 1/2 turn. I noticed Sunshine was really wobbly in his soil so I was going to adjust the soil and press it a little to make him sturdy. It wasn't working and it caused me to look closer. The green graft is what died. I don't know if I'll get another but he was a great cactus.

I think you can just cut off any rotted part and transplant what’s left of the cactus into new soil after the callous has dried!

There's not much of the green cactus left. I tried that with another cactus, a Copper King, I had. It didn't work.

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust... In all seriousness I feel bad when ppl lose plants, but that's natural
