Hello everyone! Yesterday, my boyfriend got me a cactus and it is my first official plant (other than plastic ones 😂) The pot he is in has no drainage holes, so I bought another pot that does, as well as some soil for him. How do I go about repotting him? I am extremely clueless.

if the soil it's in is good cactus soil I'd just switch the pot out! the less you fondle the roots the better especially since it's already stressed from moving. you can use Styrofoam or thick paper and oven mitts to move the cactus

Never thought of styrofoam. Great idea. I have a pair of silicone kitchen tongs.

Use kitchen tongs and if he goes to fall don't instinctively reach out to catch him. (Said from experience 😉)

Very carefully! What I have done on especially prickly plants is this, I get a pot the same size that it's in. Next I get a slightly larger pot, the one I'm going to plant in and using the empty pot to create a pocket I fill the larger pot with cactus oil... This results in pot full of soil with a hole the size of the root balls that I'm moving. I'm sure this is clear as mud! Then I carefully tip the cactus to the side and gently slide it out and pop it into that hole. It really worked well and I didn't have to handle the cactus hardly at all.

And if everyone's advice doesn't work, extra strong duct tape is really good for getting out thorns. 😉
