I have placed my amaryllis in the bathroom and will be holding back on watering until late november. Then i'll bring it back into a well lighted room to begin its blooming season. Do you all agree?

I’m not sure where you live but I am in Michigan and bring mine inside in the fall, decrease light and water slowly then about a month or two later leave them in a dark corner of a cool basement. When spring comes they start to show growth and I bring them upstairs in full sun until it’s warm enough to go back outside. They bloom every year. I think the key is the full outdoor sun so they suck up a lot of stored energy. They only bloom once a year. I’m not sure if that’s normal for amaryllis or not, but I suspect you can do that cycle any time to get blooms in winter.
