Cute variety of colors! My advice is to not keep it in a high humidity room such as with a tropical plant collection, a bathroom, or kitchen (bathrooms can get humidity spikes from showers/baths, and kitchens can get humidity spikes from things like boiling liquids or sautéing veggies). I didn’t even water mine, but when my humidifier went on the fritz one day and cranked the room to 90% humidity, my lithop basically melted within a few days 😢

Aww, they’re so cute. Once the old leaf dries completely, I always remove it because I had a few times where water got caught in between and rotted the plant 😪

Resist the urge to water! You can get by with watering maybe 3-4 times a year. Make sure the outer leaves are withered and dry, usually by April-May in the northern hemisphere. Over the years I’ve learned to separate and group them based on their yearly cycles (when bought in clumps like this). You can see some are sending up two new leaves and others are maybe just beginning to split—different parts of the yearly cycle. Once those leaves are dry, wait another few weeks then soak them good, and get them somewhere warm with airflow and sunlight so the drying of the soil process can begin. You want that soil bone dry in under three days from watering.
