I have this gorgeous succulent, but she has many tiny spider like bug that is crawling through her soil. I don’t know if these bugs are bad or good, I’m guessing they’re not good. Does anyone have any tips on how to repel them? I have a citronella plant and I put some of the oil on the outside of the pot. Is citronella ok to use on the actual plant? I could really use some help so all recommendations will be considered and helpful. Thank you so much.

Has your plant been repotted recently or is it due to be? What do the spider like buns look like? Color, size?

They’re very very tiny and are like a reddish brown color. It’s not due for repotting anytime soon.

From ur description it sounds like soil mites — they are good bc they indicate healthy soil. And do not eat or hurt the plant whatsoever. But there are other kinds of mites that look similar and are harmful. Do ur bugs tend to stay in the dirt or do they mostly hang out on the plant?

They tend to stay in the soil, but sometimes they like to crawl on the plant. I’m worried they might not be great because of the damage the plant seems to have, however I do not know if the damage was there because of something else when I bought it.
