What's going on here. I am so concerned about this sedeveria fanfare. I repotted it when I got it about a month ago in a small 3 inch cement pot. Thought it would give off extra moisture easily. The soil has been drying up pretty quickly, so I have been watering it once a week after checking with a moisture meter that the entire pot is dry. The plant started loosing leaves pretty consistently (I thought it was adjusting to the new environment, living indoors under a grow light), I thought it wasn't getting enough water to absorb hence it is using it's reserves in the leaves. But it continues to lose color and looks sad, droopy. I am worried the plant might be dying and I can't help it. Notice the darker photo is from a month ago.

I think there could be a couple problems here: • bottom leaves shriveling up and falling off is normal as new leaves grow in, but your plant info says you keep it in the shade. so it might be because its not getting enough light • the bottom leaves look pretty yellow, which can be a sign of overwatering. most succulents like to go long periods without water, but every week sounds a little too much in my opinion

if you see any browning/blackening of the leaves/stem, definitely check for root rot!

I got the info wrong in the fact sheet. It not in the shade it's got a grow light for 12 hours a day. Yeah it might have been overwatering. I'll check the roots today, I did not see any blackened leaves or stem. They have just been yellowrinf out and falling.

The plant was dead, the roots were all black, the stem below the medium had rotted away. on the inside 🥲

oh no :^( you could always try to cut the stem at the rot and try to let the healthy side grow new roots! or even, if theres any healthy leaves left, pluck them off and try to propagate them!

Aye aye captain. That's the plan for now I'm doing both. Trying to propagate the remainder of the stem as well as some of the leaves.
