Hello! I’ve never had much luck with succulents.. but I was feeling adventurous today and got «Boo! » a ghost plant!!! I combined and repotted them together! I watered and am crossing my fingers, nose and toes that he’ll bloom for me! How long does it usually take to see a bloom? Thanks
Most succulents have specific flowering seasons. But they need to be in a happy place before that will happen. My suggestion is to look up your plant specifically to check on bloom season. Another suggestion would be proper succulent/cactus soil. Yours looks like general plant mix. You can always add more grit to any soil to make it more acceptable. Once you have the correct soil then choose the correct pot. For newbies, terracotta is best and drainage holes are a requirement. With rosette type succulents it’s probably best to have the soil pretty high in the pot. You want to avoid the rosette growing and pushing their leaves into pot side. And a shallow pot. Your planter may be too big. Wow, I guess that comes thru as a lot of requirements. But if you want them to bloom you need to make them happy. And, sorry but one more thing, sun. They probably need a lot. Or grow light. Check Planta or the internet for your plants needs.

Agree with everything Phil said. The pot you have now looks way too wide and deep. When repotting plants, you have to make sure you're matching the pot size to the size of the plant's root ball. Make sure the pot is only about an inch or two wider and deeper than the current size of the roots. Soil is very important for succulents. I also didn't have luck with succulents when I first started; I was using regular potting mix and then miracle gro succulent soil. Both held way too much water for succulents and I ended up getting root rot and losing every plant. Now I use Perfect Plants Succulent Soil and Bonsai Jack's Gritty Mix at a 1:1 ratio and I haven't lost a succulent since switching.
5 Mi piaceI would go down to half the width. 50/50 grit/organic matter. Soil level just slightly below the top of the pot. Echeveria are light hungry and need a strong grow light within a few inches of their tops. Get a moisture meter off amazon. Only water when completely dry. Echeveria are also dormant in winter, so need less light and less water. Good luck! I love echeveria and have way too many.
