Hullo! This is my Echeveria but I don’t know if it’s supposed to grow tall? The 1st pic is when I first got her. Is this normal?

This has happened to all of the echeverias I have got, idk if it’s normal either but maybe it means it’s trying to reach for more light

It’s etiolating (stretching towards light). These plants naturally live in very sunny areas like the American Southwest and Central America. You can’t reverse it but can prevent further stretching with adequate grow lights.

If you want you can cut it back so it will grow new growth points and be more compact again and propagate the leaves from the cut off part.
