Does anyone know why there are these brown spots and how to get rid of them. Also is he going to die? Noooooooo Sir Stabsalot stay with meeeee!

    Not sure what the spots are, but the rest looks healthy and you have enough material that you could propagate or divide off a section as a backup plan. I love his name. Sir Stabsalot is a noble knight that must be protected

    Unfortunately once there is damage like that it will always be there. Usually it gets like a woody texture over it when it heals itself. Check for pests, maybe do a preventive treatment. Or it could be over watered. The soil looks a little dense, maybe repot with a grittier substrate and a terracotta or clay pot

      Also I noticed you have him in shade. In order for cacti to grow and thrive they need full sun. If you want to keep him indoors I would look into a grow light for him. Growing indoors can also contribute to root rot and over watering because the soil dries out way slower due to it not being warm enough and enough light exposure. Make sure soil is dried out completely before watering again. You can use a skewer to poke down into the soil. If soil comes up with the skewer and is stuck on it, wait a few days before checking again.
