Hello, wondering what kind of succulent this is, and if I need to do anything about all these little minis growing out of it? It’s also tilting over as it’s getting more top heavy. Planta suggested it’s a Mexican Snowball, donkey tail, or moonstone but I’m not sure. Had it for about 2 years and the new leaves have a powdery coat as you can see.

Donkey’s tail or Burro’s tail. I wouldn’t cut the minis off myself, but I’m curious as to what others say.

Wow, looked up burro’s tail and it definitely has those same bubble-shaped leaves, although mine is growing a lot less symmetrical. I think you’re right!

Definitely burrows tail. Take the little bulb off of the stem in the bare spots and replant in a slightly bigger pot. They like to grow and hang over edges

      That’s a great tip, thanks!

this looks more like sedum clavatum, sedum morganium (burro’s tail) is smaller overall. their leaves are slimmer and more bean-shaped, and the stems are considerably thinner. individual “branches” of the plant are usually no more than an inch or so wide. your plant appears larger with flatter leaves. for future reference, there’s a plant identification group intended for posts like this :-)

Oh, wow. It also had very flat leaves when I first got it in this picture, so what you’re suggesting seems to add up. And thanks for the group recommendation!

Looks like donkeys tail. It’s likely going to start growing like crazy off the sides. It’s a great plant but pretty fragile. You may consider planting in a bigger pot now before it’s starts to really grow because when you repot it you are going to lose a lot of the leaves.
