Hello! I’ve noticed the base of my cactus is turning this grayish brown color does anybody know what this means? She was just repotted about a month ago and I don’t remember seeing it.

    Try checking the roots and lightly squish the brown part. It could be root rot which eats away at the cactus from the inside out

      I tried poking the area and it wasn’t squishy at all, it seemed to be pretty firm

      Strange! Has it gotten any more/less light lately? Other than that it might just be getting some new colors

    I have the same problem with my cactus. I’m not sure how to fix it either 😕

      I did some digging on Google and I’m thinking it could be corking. From what I read the cactus kinda turns into a bark in order to support the plant as it grows and ages, so hopefully that’s what’s going on!😊
