Hi. I’ve just joined! I have a Crassula Springtime. This app is telling me that the spot it’s in is too dark…. It’s in my kitchen window….. it’s gets loads of light - is it just the time of day or is it really too dark?!

      This definitely needs a south window, west is second best! North is the darkest, there aren’t many plants I would put in a north window

    So front of the house! I have a conservatory full of windows, it’s beautifully light… but it’s at the back

      Excuse the child’s mess 🤣 I have blinds closed and it’s bright but cold… il move it to the front - he will have to go on the kitchen table - the window ledges in the downstairs front have been taken off 🤣

      Stonecrops can be surprisingly cold hardy! Good luck

    It’s way more likely to survive the cold than lack of sun. It needs about 6-8 hrs of direct sunlight. Aclimate it first, so it doesn’t burn.

    I’d put it outside in full sun if it’s over 45°! That’s the best place for it.

      I live in the U.K. last time we have a “heat wave” the world stopped!!!

    Id suggest a mini grow light honestly Ever since i got grow lights, summer or winter any season my plants have been having a blast esp my succulents i keep one like 3-4 inches above them

      I saw those. Don’t you need certain colours lights for types of plants? Do they plug in or run battery? Do they not increase the electric bill by a lot?

      You can get a single LED light ring that plugs in. Under $20 and many to choose. I have three like the ones in the picture. The stems are expandable. They each cover several foliage plants with white light. I’ve added a grow light bulb to an older lamp. That works too. Just place the grow lights within a foot of the succulent. I run mine 12 hours a day. Most lights come with 4/8/12 hour timers.

    Grow lights… my cacti are literally blooming flowers with one. I got like a $60 one and it’s white light (white includes all colors like the sun, I use these for all my plants they’re the best you can get). And they are LED I believe so they don’t increase the bill by a whole lot (I run 5 of them in different places and a huge humidifier for my tropicals).
