Why do succulents hate me? I bought this Zebra weeks ago. It was bone dry when I got it but looking good. So I left it alone other than 6 hours of grow light a day. Decided to give it a water & a few drops of cactus fertilizer a few days ago. Now it's got some yellowing and the top is standing up while bottom continues to point outwards. What's going on?

When they're opening out, means they wanting more light. I have my sucs for 12-16 hours. You might want to do 8-12 and see if she'll like it? She's beautiful! They don't hate you 😊 just trying to know you and you them you, adjustment period.

I second the suggestion that they need more light. 8 hours won’t be enough either, you want to replicate the amount of sun they get in their natural environment which is a MINIMUM of 12, but 14 is better.

Beautiful plant but kinda wondering if it’s a zebra. But anyway, my succulents are under very strong grow lights about 16 hours a day. Just don’t let the light get too close. And only water when totally dry. Then drench till you are sure the soil is all moist. The condition you bought it in, is actually correct-soil bone dry.

Is it possibly a lace aloe?

It’s similar. That’s what I was thinking but still different from one. I may research it just for fun.

If that clip on is a 10 watt Sansi, which it looks to be, you are probably good. 5 watts would be too weak.
