   If it’s overwatering, the yellowing would come from the base (as it is now), but also be mushy or a little squishy. If it’s still dry, I would say it needs more light. Lesser likely is that it got a little cold shock.

   Check for rot, and be careful about where you water it. If several sections of cactus meet at the bottom, they may not have a place for water to drain through, so it traps water and stagnates like in the crown of an orchid. If you've gotten the center wet, it may be rotting even if you were watering at the right times

     I’ve had this issue so. Many. Times. It’s my least favorite part about succulents, they rot really easily if the water gets trapped anywhere on them. I’d recommend bottom watering if you can, just to avoid getting the plant wet.

   Root rot - I just had to cut mine up to save it - right now it’s on a ten day callousing before repotting and moving forward. You don’t see the rot within until usually it’s too late. That’s the worse part. You can google or AI the process of elimination. This way you can save and restart it or wait and see and lose it. Good luck and let us know.
