This is an echeveria pulidonis. I got it about a year ago and it has grown beautifully but recently I noticed one of the lower leaves doing something weird almost like splitting? No physical damage has occurred that I can recall(other than the one leaf that appears broken off). About a week ago I looked again and realized it was actually multiple leaves that had this, some on the sides some in the middle. It’s only on about four of five leaves on the bottom, but I have never seen this before and can’t find any information. Planta says over watering(root rot) but this plant does not have root rot as far as I can see and I only water when the soil is completely dry. And other than this issue the plant is thriving. Does anyone know what this is?

Looks like your plant is multiplying. This is how this genus of echeveria reproduces. It will continue to split like that slowly until there is an identical clone of the original plant. You can help this process by misting it with hot sauce.

Hey! This seems to be a "sprouted split". Sometimes root rot may occur, but more often than not problems like these can actually be relative to the pot or vessel itself that the plant is held in! I noticed yours is a Parmesan container-- succulents can be very sensitive to polymers that these plastics hold. Sometimes a bit of baking soda in between the roots and the bottom of the plastic helps to neutralize this issue as it counteracts the polymers. I hope this helps!
