Everyone helped me in October with my Jade plant that ripped at the base. I’m so excited my mom gave it back to me after she helped it recover!! Any tips to keep it going would be appreciated. 💚🥳

From the old pictures, looks like the plant was healthy and had what it needed. If you’re interested in thickening that trunk up, prune the top every so often (especially if you’d like to propagate and have more Jades than you k ow what to do with like myself lol) There’s plenty of videos online!

I’m new to growing jade as well. Mine is about the same size. Good luck! I do give mine a squirt of succulent fertilizer once a month

0 LikesI’ll share my routine. I usually plant the younger plants in shallow terracotta pots. If fully established with a good root system, I let them totally dry out before watering. Till water is coming out the drain hole. I also use soil appropriate for succulents. Don’t rely on the packaged cactus mix alone. Even that mix will need more grit. But you can easily add that. And lots of bright light. Leaf edges will tint red when given enough light.
1 LikeThanks. How do I add more grit without it being too expensive?
0 LikesPerlite works and it’s cheap. Many people use sand and course gravel. I suggest research on google for diy succulent soil mix.
