Second time this is happening the flower stalk grew, and now it is flailing and looking weak without flowering. Anything I can do to help?

It’s either under watered or not getting enough light. It has enough energy to shoot out a stem but not enough to flower.

      Watered properly.

I’d pop it in front of a south facing window

Considering how long it is. And it bent I'd say it needs more light

The stalk seems mushy right below the flower. This happened with another haworthia I had.

Your stats on the plant says it has no drainage. Or is that a mistake because that could create a watering issue. Additionally your stats state the light is “shade” but looks like you have a grow light. How strong is the grow light because your plant shows no coloration from being in strong light. Either of these could be reason for no flowers. Just something for you to consider.

Also the grow light appears to be only on the plant and not reaching the flower once it shoots up. Not sure if that could be part of the problem?

Appreciate the input. It's set to shade since the grow light isn't that powerful. The pot has a reservoir at the bottom and drinks water via drip. I was concerned about over watering, but it hasn't been a problem until now.

      Maybe. Contemplating that currently.

I have a very similar plant that grew one of these when I put it outside last year - the flowers were hard to tell were flowers, honestly - they were weird and beige and tiny. I wasn't expecting any of this - the plant was a gift and I had no real info about it - so I let the stem grow to see what would happen. By the time I had to bring the plant inside in the fall the thing was 6 feet long. This year I've nipped the two that it's tried to grow to try and encourage it to put more energy into growing itself. It won't hurt it to nip the stem off if you don't want to deal with it - unless it makes a pretty flower I'm not sure what the benefit is?

Hah! Touche. This is the second flower stalk I snipped the first one when it withered and dried up.
