I guess even though an aloe Vera plant is planted in a mushroom pot, a mushroom will still grow! At first glance, I thought it was a baby growing.

I had this happen with my fern. You’re overwatering/not letting it dry out enough between waterings. Replant it into a pot with a drainage hole, rocks at the bottom and a cactus/succulent soil with perlite.
1 gillaMushrooms aren’t something to worry about necessarily. Most soils have some sort of mushroom compost in them.

No, for succulents this is extremely abnormal. You should not be watering your plants so frequently that mushrooms can even have a chance to grow. Seeing a mushroom is a sign that the soil, pot, or watering frequency are wrong.
1 gillaAnd aloes are prone to root rot so back off the watering!
0 gillningarOk. Have had several pots shoot up mushrooms and be some of the happiest plants I have

For plants that are water tolerant, sure. For succulents and cacti, mushrooms are a warning.
