I was going absolutely crazy with the number of plants that I had to water (69 cactus/succulents on my bookshelf alone 🤦🏼). So I started combining four or five in a pot. Unfortunately though, it gave me more room on my bookshelf so I'm just adding more. Lol. 👍🏼🥰
Is that a (few years old, at least) Royal Flush split rock amongst your collection!? I had one, Nettie, who didn’t last very long till she went all wicked witch on me and melted into mush!
I bought it from Mountain Crest Gardens about a month ago. I've been doing cactus soil and very little water. I've lost one before too.

I tried that trick too and just got more😆😆. I love these- they look fantastic. I want to caution you on the split rock tho, the succulents and cactus will require more water than it will and these also go dormant and have very specific watering cycles. Overwatering these will kill them. But the cactus will be wanting water during their growth seasons every month. Splits are only watered 3 to 4 times a year.

2개 좋아요 One alternative is to create a seperation when planting garden bowls if you want to combine plants with different needs. I do that by using a clear plastic pot that i can cut down to the height of the bowl/pot im using for the arrangement and then placing that in with the appropriate soil mix for the plant with special care schedules and planting everything else around it. The top rocks cover the rim of the extra pot and now you can water that plant seperately. That is how i created my jurassic park bowls with diff types of plants
