Hey all! I have this jade cutting I’ve been propagating since 7/25/24. I let the cutting callus over and then put it straight into cactus/succulent potting mix soil. It’s been sitting at my east facing window the whole time. Can anyone tell my if these are roots growing out of the stem, not in the soil? 🙈 what do I do with it? I’m afraid to check the soil to see if roots grew in there because I don’t want to mess up anything that might be growing. Should I cut at the roots and propagate in soil from there?

No. You will get white roots from bottom

I think what you’re seeing is normal. My jades often have little roots growing where leaf meets stem.

They’re called air roots, and common, and very likely to have formed while your jade was trying for form any roots during the propagation process. Don’t be scared to check for roots. If no roots have formed in the bottom, I can try to walk you through a different method of propagating them.
